The third consortium meeting of the BLIM4SME project was organized on 26-27 June 2014 in Helsinki, Finland and was hosted by VTT.
The first day of the meeting was dedicated primarily to review the status of the project, where the Work Package leaders presented the major achievements and planned work in their respective work package. The end of the first day and the second day was dedicated to specific workshops. The first workshop was dedicated to the BLE generic module and its interfaces with the external components. All the interfaces were defined, and the power management scheme, which is of utmost importance to the target markets was specified. The second workshop was dedicated to the RF IPD module and its integration with the RF IC. The test and integration issues were sorted out. The third workshop was dedicated to the RF IC, and power management solutions were discussed and agreed upon in order to get the best efficiency for this circuit.
